Concrete and stamped concrete across Southern California, with honest advice
Genesis installs poured concrete and decorative stamped concrete, and because we also install pavers, we will tell you plainly which one is right for your project instead of selling you the one with the bigger margin. Serving Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Simi Valley, Camarillo, Westlake Village, Calabasas, and across Ventura County and the San Fernando Valley. 15,000+ projects since 1993.

Real projects across Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, and Santa Barbara counties, in concrete, stamped concrete, and pavers.
Concrete done right, and honest about its limits
Concrete still has its place. For the right project and budget, a well-poured slab or a decorative stamped concrete surface is a solid choice, and Genesis has poured and finished concrete across Southern California for three decades. What sets us apart is that we also install pavers, so we have no reason to talk you into concrete when pavers would serve you better. You get the work done correctly, with proper base preparation and control joints, and the straight advice to go with it.
Stamped concrete that mimics stone, brick, and slate
Stamped concrete lets you get a decorative look at a lower installed cost than natural stone. We can texture and color the surface to resemble stone, brick, slate, or wood plank, add integral color, and finish it with decorative borders. Genesis prepares the base properly and cuts control joints where they belong, so your stamped concrete looks its best and holds up as long as poured concrete reasonably can. Where you want the pattern of stone without the cracking that concrete eventually shows, we will point you toward pavers instead.
Concrete or pavers? Here is when each one wins
Most contractors sell whatever they pour. We install both, so here is the straight guidance we would give a neighbor.
When concrete is the right call
- The budget is tight and upfront cost matters most
- You want a specific stamped pattern at a lower installed price
- A utility slab, shed pad, or footing where looks are secondary
- A surface you do not expect to modify or access later
When pavers are worth it
- You want it to last without cracking as the ground moves
- You may need to lift and reset to reach a buried line
- Resale value and curb appeal are priorities
- You are replacing a cracked slab and do not want to repeat the cycle

We Build It
One crew preps the base, pours or lays the surface on a set schedule, and we stand behind the workmanship.
Since 1993 and 15,000+ projects, with straight answers
Genesis is not a call center that dispatches subcontractors. The people who quote your project are the people who build it, and they are named throughout our reviews. Genesis holds eight California contractor’s licenses covering concrete, pavers, and masonry, which is exactly why we can give you honest advice instead of selling the one product we happen to offer.
