Interlocking Concrete Walkway Pavers

A front path that sets the tone for the whole house

A walkway does more than get you from the driveway to the door. It frames the entry, guides the eye, and carries the curb appeal that buyers judge a home by in seconds. A cracked, uneven concrete path does the opposite. Interlocking walkway pavers give you defined borders, hundreds of patterns, and a surface that flexes instead of cracking, and because Genesis is licensed across trades, the same crew builds in the steps, the seat walls, and the low-voltage lighting that turn a path into an entrance.

Why Pavers

Why a paver walkway beats a concrete one

Poured concrete paths crack and heave as roots grow and the ground moves, and an uneven walkway is both an eyesore and a trip hazard. Interlocking walkway pavers flex without cracking, a settled section is lifted and reset rather than jackhammered out, and defined borders and patterns give the path a finished, designed look that a gray slab cannot match. It is the difference between a walkway you replace and one you keep.

Pavers vs Concrete

How a paver walkway compares to poured and stamped concrete

Walkway pavers cost about the same as stamped concrete to install, and outperform it on every measure that matters for a path.

Steps, Lighting & Curb Appeal

One crew builds the whole entrance, not just the path

A great walkway is rarely just flat pavers. It has steps that handle a slope, borders that frame the planting beds, and low-voltage lighting that makes the path safe and striking after dark. Because Genesis is licensed for pavers, masonry, and the finish work, the same team builds the walkway pavers, the steps, the seat and retaining walls, and the landscape lighting into one plan and one schedule, so the entrance looks designed rather than assembled from separate jobs.

We Build It

One crew sets the base, installs the pavers, steps, and lighting on a set schedule, and we stand behind the workmanship.

Real crews, real capability

Since 1993 and 15,000+ projects, with the same team on your walkway

Genesis is not a call center that dispatches subcontractors. The people who quote your walkway are the people who build it, and they are named throughout our reviews. Genesis holds eight California contractor’s licenses, so one team legally handles the base, the pavers, the steps, the walls, and the lighting.

Questions

Paver walkway FAQ

Straight answers about paver walkways, cost, and how Genesis works, from the owner-led team that actually does the job.

How much does a paver walkway cost?
Every walkway is quoted flat-rate after an in-person visit, because the price depends on length and width, base preparation, any steps or lighting, demolition, and the pavers you choose. Installed, a paver walkway costs about the same as stamped concrete and lasts far longer. Your Genesis design consultant provides a free, itemized quote at your consultation, with no obligation.
Are pavers better than concrete for a walkway?
For most homes, yes. A concrete path cracks as the ground moves and offers few finishes. Interlocking pavers flex without cracking, come in hundreds of colors and patterns with defined borders, and any single stone lifts and resets, which keeps a front walkway looking sharp and safe underfoot.
Can you replace my concrete walkway with pavers?
Yes. Converting a cracked or dated concrete walkway to pavers is one of our most requested projects. We remove the old concrete, rebuild the base, and install pavers that last. See our concrete-to-paver page.
Can you build steps and lighting into the walkway?
Yes. Genesis holds eight California contractor's licenses, so one crew builds the walkway along with steps, seat and retaining walls, and low-voltage landscape lighting, so the whole path is designed and installed together.
Do you offer permeable walkway pavers?
Yes. Permeable interlocking pavers let rainwater filter through the walkway instead of running off, which helps with drainage and suits water-conscious Southern California homes. We recommend permeable options where they make sense for your site.
What patterns and materials can I choose for my walkway?
Hundreds. Genesis has installed Southern California's major interlocking concrete paver brands for over three decades, including Angelus, Orco, Belgard, and Ackerstone, and we help you choose the stone, color, pattern, and border that fit your home at your consultation.
